Bcreative at Graphics Canada 2013

Graphics Canada trade show printing convention

On Friday, November 22, Bcreative attended the 50th anniversary of Graphics Canada (November 21-23) and learned about the up and coming modern trends and innovations in the printing and graphic design world.

The trade show is held every two years and was located at the International Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Graphics Canada is Canada’s largest trade show for the printing and graphic communications industry ranging from small printers and designers to the largest printing companies in the country. This exhibition was a perfect opportunity to look at the new materials and hardware being used for different format printing, banner stands, trade show booths and other display systems. Over 200 manufacturers and dealers take part in three buildings, many of the exhibitors displaying new innovations in products and technology.

Seminars, keynote presentations, workshops and demonstrations were held over the three days at the trade show to help expand the knowledge of up and coming technologies and software. Some topics included:

  • Keynote Presentations, covering: Nanographic Printing technology for commercial, folding carton, flexible packaging and label applications
  • Graphics Canada 2013 Seminar Series, covering: Inkjet technology, QR codes, workflow automation, trends, environment, social media and more
  • Graphics Software Seminar Series sponsored by Adobe, covering: Introduction of digital publishing, photoshop creative cloud features and creative cloud for designers

If you are in the printing or graphic design industry you should consider the next Graphics Canada (2015) trade show to educate yourself on how to further diversify and expand your company. Those who attend the trade show can learn and adapt to the new challenges, consumer behaviours and technological advancements in the printing/graphic design world.
